B-Hybrid Dance take on the O2 Arena - October 2016

B-Hybrid Dance artistic director Brian Gillespie, was recently commissioned to create a spectacular opening performance and a smooth duet for a large-scale event at The O2 Arena in London.

Bringing together his energetic choreography and his recent work with powder paint, Brian brought 8 of his B-Hybrid Dance team along to make this magic happen.

Here are some images of the production. Image credit - Crc London.

Our fundraising success!

We recently set out to raise funds to help us complete the creation of our current production 'Breaking Breath'. We aim to extend our current 27minute draft into a full-length production by the end of this year and have been overwhelmed with the support we have received. Please see below for the current trailer for this production.

In just 30 days we managed to raise a whopping £1,600.

We would like to thank all who donated and supported this campaign! This money will help us cover fees, production costs, rehearsal space and all things creative when we get into the studio later this year. We couldn't do it without you.

Thank you from all of us at B-Hybrid Dance

It's Here - Our shoot with Adobe UK is live

Last month we had the opportunity to shoot a project with global organisation Adobe.

We focussed on organic human movement using powder and liquid paints to translate our movements into visible shapes, colours and textures. Using Adobe Capture CC and Adobe Illustrator CC, we then transformed them into creative assets (which we will share with you soon!).

You can watch our experiment here;

We've been up To something exciting!

So last month we shot a project with global organisation Adobe. Our artistic director choreographed and 6 of our company dancers feature in the video.

We can't say much more than that, but the video is due to be released mid June.

For now, enjoy a few stills from the shoot...

Our artistic director Brian Gillespie is on tour!

Brian Gillespie has been invited to join the cast of 'The Rising' for its national tour of Ireland through March 2016.

The Rising is a new play written by Joe O' Byrne, which tells the story of the 1916 Rising through an exciting and theatrical two-man show, allowing the audience to relive the tumultuous days of Easter Rising.

Brian will be dusting off his Irish dancing shoes and putting his acting skills to practice in this show by Co-Motion Media. See the facebook page below for dates and details;
